ICARUS is a PvE survival game where you can play solo or team up with up to 8 players in both mission based and open world modes. Set on Icarus, a planet once thought to be Earth’s next home but now a wild, dangerous place, players drop down from their space station to explore, gather resources, craft, and hunt to earn their fortune.
Survive a ruthless world: Icarus is filled with harsh challenges, from toxic air and dangerous animals to intense storms and wildfires. You’ll need to plan ahead find oxygen track food and stock up for long journeys.
You can play alone, invite up to 8 friends, or join dedicated servers for a shared experience.
Explore and conquer: The game world spans over 64 square kilometers of crafted landscapes with hidden caves, various biomes, and resources everywhere. You can harvest any tree mine rocks hunt animals tame mounts and use high tech tools for easier resource gathering and survival.
Level up your skills and tech: Master three skill trees, covering planetary survival, player talents, and advanced orbital tech. Unlock four levels of technology, from basic items to high-tech gadgets, with 100+ abilities to specialize in areas like hunting, building, farming, and combat.
Choose your adventure: Play in Open World, timed Missions, or Creative Outpost mode:
- Open World: Survive and explore, taking on Icarus’s challenges.
- Missions: Complete contracts to mine rare materials and earn currency, building bases and escaping on time.
- Outposts: Get creative in safer zones with renewable resources.
The story behind Icarus: Once planned as Earth’s second home, Icarus became uninhabitable due to a failed terraforming attempt, filling the atmosphere with toxic gases. But a new discovery, “exotic matter,” made Icarus valuable again, sparking a “gold rush.” Now, prospectors come to the planet to collect exotics and earn high-tech gear for future missions—if they can survive the brutal environment.
